Who is solar energy project management for?

For every organization that has decided to invest in solar energy on its roof, but that wants to have this guided by a professional party; a party that has a lot of experience with this and works independently and exclusively in the interests of its client. Praeter is not a contractor or installer and does not receive any compensation from parties it engages.

What is solar energy project management?

Based on a step-by-step plan, we guide our client’s investment in solar energy from A to Z: from tender, via supervision of the export, to inspection of the delivery and commissioning of the installation. We explicitly manage to ensure that the outcomes are in line with the business case we present.

We offer this service for a fixed price based on the size and complexity of the roof and installation in question.

When supervising the export, we first check the possible “show-stoppers”, so that you do not incur high costs before you are certain that the installation in question is actually technically possible. This is how we check, among other things:

  • The possibility to feed back into the grid
  • The strength of the roof with the help of your structural engineer
  • Whether the insurer has any objections to the installation of a solar power installation
  • Whether the lifespan of your roof covering matches the lifespan of solar energy

We will include any additional costs for adjustments to construction, roofing or insurance in an update of your business case.

We request quotes from installers and your own preferred party can of course also register. After all, we advise independently and do not accept compensation from installers. Due to the many tenders we carry out, we are well informed about prices and qualities, which means that we can often easily recoup our consultancy costs for you. We help you choose the most suitable installer and then supervise the execution by the chosen installer. After completion of the installation, we have it checked by an independent party (the so-called scope-12 inspection) and, if desired, we also carry out a further technical check ourselves.

What benefit does our client gain from supporting the export of solar energy?

Properly running a solar energy project takes a lot of time and knowledge of various fields; think of electrical and architectural knowledge, legal and financial knowledge, knowledge of subsidies and project management. Companies often do not have all the specific knowledge in-house and undertake a solar energy project only once or rarely. We ensure coordination with all parties involved with the aim of making the process run as smoothly as possible so that you can continue to focus on the core business of your company. Praeter has all the knowledge in-house and carries out many solar energy projects per year.

And not unimportant: Praeter only charges money to its clients, NEVER to parties it engages, such as constructors, contractors or installers. As a result, we are always at the client’s side and we can advise and engage parties completely independently. Moreover, at every step of the implementation, the client has the control and overview to make decisions themselves based on our advice.
